This Week's Learning: Colours

This week, we are learning about colours, and we started off by focusing on the colour red.

Our Activity

The children worked together to create a beautiful collage featuring all things red. This collaborative effort allowed them to explore different shades and objects related to the colour red.

What We Included

  • Red fruits such as strawberries and apples
  • Red flowers like roses and poppies
  • Items like fire trucks and stop signs
  • Artwork from various materials in shades of red

Learning Outcomes

Through this activity, the children not only learned about the colour red but also practiced teamwork and creativity.

Learning About Africa

This week, we have been learning about Africa and the amazing animals that live there.

Activities

The babies used the animals and paint to create footprints as they stomped around the paper. It was a fun and messy activity that allowed them to express their creativity!

Meanwhile, the toddlers used sponges and water to make sure the animals were nice and clean. They had a great time experimenting with water and getting their hands involved in the cleaning process.

Conclusion

It has been a joyful week of learning and play, exploring the wonders of African wildlife!

Are these not the most adorable little humans you ever did see ….
Christmas crafts are starting early at Charlies. We have enjoyed beginning to make our Christmas crafts to show our grown ups
The children have enjoyed investigating raindrops by creating their own in the water tray and using rolling pins to make raindroplets under bubble wrap. We then investigated our Autumn sensory tray and used our hands to crunch the leaves
